To your father’s friend, And that cop who pulled me over on Beverly Grand; I’ve had a famous man, On his fire escape, And countless dinner dates

Phew. Dr. Dog on Wednesday were fierce - will have to back-blog that later…& remind me to embed some Kaki King YouTube vids (done: )because she was a breath of fresh percussive air…John Langford (of Mekons fame) with special guests Dallas & Travis Green were nothing to sneeze at either…it was a music-filled front-end of the week for sure.

This weekend, in contrast, is full of birthday mirth, there will be some taking over of the Rhino’s jukebox, but no live tunes - unless I can get into the Islands concert that’s taping early Saturday…which I will probably try to do, who am I kidding.

Back to b-days, good Parry Sounders both - Amanda will *someday soon* receive this Flatstock gem…hmm…what will it be??? 'manda's bday present....
& also accompany this old maid to the Jens Lekman show for some poperiffic Great Hall-ness. Happy b-day Amanda, I am so proud of you & can’t believe that I’ve been lucky to know you for sooooo looooong.

Here is a hint about the poster - which will be in a presentable format ASAP:
Mp3 - Roll On (Featuring *secret guest vocalist/gift clue*) - Dntel

& tomorrow, after the Rosen run & q.t. @ Dee’s with Rob…Matt’s bday will be feted. Here’s a special old school gem for the Finn lad:
Mp3 - Get Into They Party Life - Little Beaver (Party Down, 1974)

Peace
meegs
