Without a Yard

Giving the Pipettes a second chance after a less than stellar cedar street show this afternoon. Finnegeled some non-wristbanded buds into Beauty Bar's patio (sorry Mr Fire Marshall - all's fair in love +
sxsw)…caught tilly + the wall for the first time in 2 yrs +
beatle-esque (+ sloan-esque with the instrument changes) field music.
Newmarket's pride, Tokyo Police Club + Cursive (who I've loved
forever) are up next…all in all a marriage of convenience for weary
legs and lazy brain…
Looking forward to geting home to redistribute the swag…

1234 get ya booty on dance floo…
Seems like I can only see mickey avalon in the daytime..first at
virgin fest + now at the scion party at stubb's. Always a high
energy, fun gig - new songs were few + far between - surprised the
crowd knew so many tracks…pipettes're playing a party - might end up
missing rakim….skipping school again today - can't resist these
parties…

For INTIMATE Pigeon John day gig at Creekside - beautiful stuff -
short video to come. 'Say I need hip-hop!'

Experienced some technical difficulties yesterday - during the
disappointing Cold War Kids set + a beautiful Elvis Perkins
show…ended up losing valuable face time with Peg…which I hope to
make up for today. Caught Sage Francis' set + his cameo appearance
with Buck 65 (now touring + recording with Scratch Bastid)..ended the
night with MTL's own Patrick Watson, Malajube and We Are
Wolves…barring any other meltdowns I'll keep updating throughout
today…
